A
- AdoptionConsulting & engagement
The share of participants who genuinely use a new way of working or system.
Adoption is the most honest measure of a project: it shows whether the solution reduces work or adds to it.
Related terms:Change managementKPI
B
- Business caseMethods & qualification
The calculation weighing effort, benefit and risk of an initiative.
A business case makes assumptions visible and therefore testable. Committees rarely decide on precision, but on traceable assumptions.
Related terms:Value propositionCommercial assessment
- Buying centerMethods & qualification
The group involved in an investment decision, with differing interests.
In B2B a single person almost never decides. Business unit, procurement, IT, privacy and leadership judge the same initiative differently.
Also: Buying committee

C
- Change managementConsulting & engagement
The work of making an agreed change actually happen in daily practice.
The decision is the easy part. Change takes hold when leaders ask for it in regular meetings and old routes are deliberately closed.
Related terms:AdoptionCommercial assessmentSales enablement
- Commercial assessmentConsulting & engagement
A structured review of sales, offering and steering that names causes instead of symptoms.
The assessment establishes where margin is created and which planning assumptions do not hold. The result is a short, prioritised list of measures.

Our approach →- Conversion rateSales & steering
The share of opportunities moving from one stage to the next, or to a close.
Stage conversion shows where business is lost. An early drop points to targeting or value articulation, a late drop usually to decision paths and pricing.
- CRMSales & steering
The system holding customers, contacts, opportunities and activities.
A CRM does not create steering, it makes steering visible. What matters is which fields are mandatory and which question each field answers.

F
- ForecastSales & steering
The reasoned expectation of revenue closing within a defined period.
A good forecast is testable: every deal included has a documented reason why it decides in that period. Persistent deviation usually points to unclear criteria, not to the market.
Related terms:PipelineForecast accuracySales cycle
G
- GovernanceKnowledge management
Defining who approves, updates and archives content — and in what cadence.
Governance is the difference between a project and a system that stays usable. It names roles, deadlines and approval paths.

I
- Ideal Customer ProfileMethods & qualification
A description of customers where value, win probability and margin align.
An ICP is a decision about what to decline. It names attributes where the offering demonstrably works.
Also: ICP
Related terms:QualificationWin rateValue proposition
- Information architectureKnowledge management
The blueprint by which content is ordered, labelled and linked so it can be found.
Good architecture makes search effective; missing architecture cannot be compensated by search.

K
- Knowledge managementKnowledge management
Organising knowledge so it is findable, verified and usable at the moment of decision.
Knowledge management is not a filing question but an access question: which source is authoritative, who maintains it, how does it reach the workflow.
Related terms:TaxonomySingle source of truthInformation architecture
View the field →- KPISales & steering
A metric that actually changes a management decision.
Useful metrics are few, unambiguously defined and owned. The test: what would leadership decide differently if this number halved?
Also: Key Performance Indicator
Related terms:Forecast accuracyConversion rateWin rate
L
- LeadSales & steering
A contact with a possible need whose seriousness has not been tested yet.
Leads are raw material. Only qualification decides whether an opportunity emerges. Conflating both terms consistently inflates the forecast.
Related terms:OpportunityQualificationIdeal Customer Profile
M
- MEDDICCMethods & qualification
A qualification framework for complex deals: metrics, economic buyer, decision criteria and process, pain, champion, competition.
MEDDICC organises what must be known before a deal enters the forecast. Unanswered items count as risk, not as detail.
Related terms:QualificationSolution sellingBuying center
- MetadataKnowledge management
Descriptive attributes of content: topic, validity, ownership, source.
Metadata makes content filterable and auditable. Without it, nobody can tell whether a document is current and approved.
Related terms:TaxonomyGovernanceSingle source of truth
N
- NDAConsulting & engagement
An agreement governing the handling of confidential information.
It defines who gets access, how long confidentiality applies and how documents are treated after the engagement ends.
Also: Non-disclosure agreement
Related terms:ScopeGovernance
O
- OpportunitySales & steering
A concrete buying initiative at a customer with an expected value and timing.
An opportunity is more than interest: there is a need, a decision path and a budget scenario. Separating interest from a real opportunity keeps wishful thinking out of the plan.
Related terms:LeadPipelineQualification
P
- PipelineSales & steering
All active opportunities, ordered by their progress towards a decision.
The pipeline is the steering instrument of sales. It only becomes meaningful once stages depend on verifiable events at the customer, not on the seller’s gut feeling.
Also: Funnel
Related terms:Pipeline hygieneOpportunityConversion rate
- Pipeline hygieneSales & steering
The discipline of keeping opportunities current, realistic and comparable.
Without hygiene a pipeline accumulates dead weight: deals without a next step, overdue close dates, duplicates. Rules on recency and minimum data make the numbers dependable again.
- PlaybookMethods & qualification
A concise guide for recurring situations: trigger, questions, arguments, next steps.
A playbook shortens onboarding and makes good practice transferable. A few pages someone actually reads before a meeting.
Related terms:Sales enablementSolution selling
Q
- QualificationMethods & qualification
The structured test of whether an initiative has need, decision path, budget and timing.
Qualification protects the scarcest resource in sales: time. It is a set of questions whose answers must come from the customer.

R
- RAGKnowledge management
An AI method that formulates answers exclusively from previously retrieved, approved sources.
The model does not invent content; it summarises evidenced passages and cites their origin. In regulated environments this is the precondition for using AI at all.
Also: Retrieval augmented generation

See the demo portal →- RetainerConsulting & engagement
An ongoing agreement for a fixed monthly time allocation instead of a single project.
Suitable when support is needed over a longer period — implementation and leadership routines. It requires a clear agreement on scope and priorities.
- RetrievalKnowledge management
Finding relevant passages in large bodies of content as the basis for answers.
Modern retrieval searches by meaning rather than exact wording and returns the source location — the citation chain that makes an answer usable in a professional setting.
Also: Semantic search
Related terms:RAGTaxonomyKnowledge management
S
- Sales cycleSales & steering
The time from a qualified opportunity to a decision.
Cycle length determines how much lead time revenue planning needs. It shortens when decision makers are involved early.
Related terms:ForecastPipelineBuying center
- Sales enablementMethods & qualification
Everything that makes sales effective in a customer conversation.
Enablement bridges strategy and conversation. It works when material is available at the moment of need and speaks the same language as the method.
Related terms:Solution sellingKnowledge managementSingle source of truth
Knowledge management →- Sales ExcellenceSales & steering
The umbrella term for a sales organisation that works predictably: clear roles, one binding method, reliable numbers.
Sales excellence is not about more activity but better decisions: where margin is created, which deals are deliberately not pursued, and how leadership sees early whether a quarter will hold.
Related terms:PipelineForecastCommercial assessment
View services →- ScopeConsulting & engagement
The binding definition of what is part of an engagement and what is not.
A precise scope protects both sides: results, participants and explicit exclusions. Most dissatisfaction stems from differing expectations, not from mistakes.
- Single source of truthKnowledge management
The one place where content is authoritatively maintained; everything else links to it.
Content maintained in several places inevitably contradicts itself. The effort lies in deciding ownership, not in technology.
Related terms:GovernanceMetadataKnowledge management
- Solution sellingMethods & qualification
An approach that starts from the customer’s problem rather than from the product catalogue.
The commercial consequence of the problem is clarified first, then the path to resolve it. Less presenting, more diagnosis.
Related terms:Value propositionQualificationSales enablement
Our approach →- SprintConsulting & engagement
A clearly time-boxed work package with a predefined, verifiable result.
Sprints keep consulting work auditable: after a few weeks there is a result to decide on, which limits risk.
Related terms:RetainerCommercial assessment
T
- TaxonomyKnowledge management
A binding classification with fixed terms and relationships between them.
A taxonomy defines what something is called and where it belongs, so different departments find the same content although they search differently.
Related terms:MetadataInformation architectureSingle source of truth
V
- Value propositionMethods & qualification
The evidenced statement of what economic difference an offering makes.
It names starting point, effect and proof — the answer to why a company should spend money and attention on this.
Related terms:Solution sellingIdeal Customer ProfileBusiness case
W
- Win rateSales & steering
The share of won deals among all decided deals.
Win rate is only useful in comparison — by segment, product or competitive situation. In aggregate it hides which deals should never have been pursued.
